Who We Serve: Families Preparing for Retirement, and Families Already There
Third Act Wealth Management doesn't work with everyone, and that's by design. Each advisor serves no more than 100 families, because planning at this depth only works when we know your whole picture: the accounts, the family, the professionals around you, and what the money is actually for. Most of the families we serve are between 55 and 75, preparing for retirement or already living it.
Nearly all of them built their wealth themselves, through a career, a company, or decades of disciplined saving. Some earn most of their pay in equity. Some own the business. And what brings them to us is usually the same realization: they have good professionals, but nobody sitting in the middle of it all.
“He meets me at my need for details AND my husband's need for summary bullet points.”

The Person We Serve Best
You want an advisor who goes a mile deep, not a mile wide
You'd rather be one of 100 families someone knows completely than one of several hundred accounts someone monitors. Depth is the whole reason our cap exists.
You want to delegate to a proactive professional
Plenty of people have an advisor who checks in. Fewer have a plan that's actually being worked between the calls. You're ready to hand your financial life to someone who plans ahead, brings you the next move before you have to ask, and keeps every decision in your hands.
You want coordination, not just investments
One person, trained to look across taxes, investments, estate, insurance, and giving, working directly with your CPA, attorney, and insurance agent instead of around them.

Retirees
Our core clients
Retirement is one of the largest financial transitions most people ever make, and the planning doesn't stop when the paycheck does. If anything, the decisions get bigger. Our retired clients bring a consistent set of questions:
- How much can I spend each year without running out of money?
- What if I live to 95? Does my plan actually stretch that far
- Which accounts should I draw from first to help manage my lifetime tax burden?
- Am I paying more than I need to on RMDs, Social Security, or Medicare premiums?
- Who's watching all of this, and who calls me when something needs to change?
For our retired families, Third Act is the ongoing partner in the middle: monitoring, adjusting, and coordinating across every part of their financial life so they can get back to living it. And where one spouse has always handled the money, we make sure the other knows exactly who to call and what happens next, long before it matters.
Pre-Retirees
The decade before
The ten years before retirement are when the biggest levers still move: Roth conversion windows, tax positioning in your highest-earning years, Social Security timing, and the shift from building wealth to living on it.
Our pre-retiree clients are usually executives and professionals finally asking the question they've been too busy to ask: am I actually on track, and when can I stop on my terms?

Executives With Equity Compensation
Many of our pre-retirees are executives, and for them the transition comes with an extra layer.
For many senior executives, more pay arrives as equity than as salary, and it's the least-managed asset they own. RSUs vesting on reflex, options on a clock, deferred comp elections locked years ahead, and a concentrated position that keeps growing with no plan attached.
We build the strategy grant by grant, coordinated with your tax picture.
Business Owners
For some of the families we serve, the retirement plan and the business are the same thing.
For most owners, the business is the largest asset in the plan and the least examined one. Your wealth is concentrated in it, your financial life is tangled up with it, and the time to think about your personal picture never quite arrives.
We build personal wealth alongside the company and prepare you for the eventual sale, buyout, or succession, so that when an offer shows up, it's good news instead of a scramble.
You may be a great fit if:
- You have $1 million or more in investable assets.
- You're retired, or within ten years of it.
- Your financial life has outgrown one account statement: multiple accounts, equity compensation, a business, or an estate plan that needs coordinating.
- You're in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, or comfortable working with a Texas-based team.
We're probably not the right fit if:
- You're looking for the lowest-cost option rather than the most complete one.
- You prefer doing it yourself and mainly want someone to validate your homework.
- You're not ready to delegate, even to someone accountable to you.
- You want a one-time transaction, a stock pick, or a plan to put in a drawer.
Either way, you'll get a straight answer.
Every relationship here starts with a Second Opinion — roughly 10 to 20 hours of real planning work at no cost — and if we're not the right fit, we'll tell you honestly and point you in the right direction.
